YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, New York, Nov. 4, 2026 — Beacon Bank today launched its Annual Turkey Drive to help combat food insecurity and provide local families in need throughout the Hudson Valley.
Community members are encouraged to help make the holiday season brighter for local families by donating frozen turkeys and nonperishable food items during operating hours at any of the 14 participating Beacon Bank branches in Brewster, Mahopac, Somers, Pawling, Kent, Jefferson Valley, Fishkill, Yorktown Heights, New City, Eastchester, Mount Vernon, Greenburgh, Mount Kisco and Silver Lake.
Items needed most include frozen turkeys, spices, canned vegetables, fruits and soups, as well as pasta, rice and other nonperishable food products.
“This annual tradition reflects our colleagues’ commitment to giving back and supporting our neighbors in need who live in the communities we serve,” said Michael Goldrick, president of Beacon Bank's Hudson Valley region.
The Annual Turkey Drive, now in its ninth year, has collected and donated more than 850 turkeys since its inception, and the team is hoping for strong community support to help surpass the 1,000-turkey milestone this year.
On Nov. 16, between 8:30 and 10 a.m., Beacon Bank colleagues will gather outside the regional headquarters at 2651 Strang Blvd to collect any final donations before distributing donations to five local organizations serving residents throughout the region, including Putnam CAP Food Pantry, Eastchester CAP Food Pantry, Northern Westchester Community Center, Mount Vernon Parks and Recreation and Mount Vernon Adult Day Care Center.
“Every donation, whether it's a turkey or a few pantry items, helps provide holiday meals for local families and makes a meaningful difference during this time of year,” said Chris Boemio, manager of Beacon Bank’s branch in Somers who helps coordinate the annual food drive.
