Beacon Bank and PCF Development host free virtual workshop Oct. 21 for first-time homebuyers

PROVIDENCE, Oct. 5, 2026 — Beacon Bank, in partnership with Pawtucket Central Falls Development (PCF Development), will host a free virtual workshop Oct. 21 to help first-time homebuyers as part of National Financial Planning Month.

The 5:30 p.m. Zoom workshop, “Planning for Homeownership at Any Stage: From Budget to Keys,” will provide practical guidance for individuals who are considering buying their first home, whether they are just beginning the process or are actively preparing to purchase. Topics will include a step-by-step overview of the homebuying process, improving credit, creating a homebuyer budget, preparing for closing costs, and more.

Leading the workshop will be Beacon Bank Mortgage Specialists Stephanie Silva and Kathy Galipeau, and Dianny Melusky, PCF Development’s director of homeownership and a HUD-certified housing counselor. Together, they will offer expert insights into the homebuying process and answer questions from attendees during a live Q&A session.

“Buying a first home is a significant financial decision, and being prepared is an important part of making informed decisions,” said Will Tsonos, president of Beacon Bank’s Rhode Island region. “We want to equip prospective buyers with the information and tools they need to better understand their options and feel more confident about taking that next step.”

There is no cost to attend the workshop, but pre-registration is required and can be completed online or by contacting Dianny Melusky at [email protected] or (401) 726-1173 ext. 12.
